This glass bowl from Murano dates from the 1960s and shows the typical combination of lightness and depth of color characteristic of Italian mid-century glass design. Transparent, slightly warm-toned glass is interspersed with silver-colored inclusions, giving the compact, softly curved shape a particular vibrancy. Originally made as an ashtray, the bowl now works equally well as a vide-poche or decorative object.
