This small Oba mask from Bamoun, Cameroon, brings the quiet presence of handcrafted bronze into a room. The face appears serene: large, slightly protruding eyes, a subtle hint of a smile. The fan-shaped, grooved beard area traditionally represents dignity. The crown is modeled with small points, and a cast hanging ring is integrated directly into the headdress. The back is irregular, with a natural patina and slight signs of oxidation. An object for wall, shelf, or display case, calm and concentrated.
