Product details
This large "Masque Lune" from the Congo appears as a silent object between sculpture and wall art. The round form, the matte black coating, and the graphic decoration of glass beads and brass create clear, calm contrasts. Narrow slit eyes, a small nose bridge, and the open rectangular mouth shape give the face presence without being loud. The back shows tool marks and handicraft. Patina and fine craquelures tell of its age and material.
