This vintage mask from the Bamoun culture in Cameroon is cast in bronze and demonstrates how expressive a small object can be. A smiling, bearded man with accentuated eyes. Above it, a crown with a face and two stylized lizards, finely crafted. The curved shape and the hollow parts of the mouth and nose create depth and shadows. Cast using the traditional lost-wax technique, with visible patina and localized blue-white oxidation. For wall mounting or on a pedestal.
