Product details
The Alta Lounge Chair with Ottoman is Oscar Niemeyer's translation of architecture into seating. Designed in 1971 together with Anna Maria Niemeyer, the set carries its form almost like a sculpture: curved steel plates visibly support the seat and back, complemented by a calm grid of button tufting in white leather. The adjustment brings the body into a relaxed, ergonomic position without disturbing the lines. Known from Niemeyer's design of the French Communist Party headquarters in Paris. Both pieces with Mobilier International marking.
