Der Plia von Giancarlo Piretti gehört zu jenen Entwürfen, bei denen Funktion und Leichtigkeit selbstverständlich wirken. 1967 für Castelli Anonima entworfen, wurde der Klappstuhl zu einer festen Größe des italienischen Designkanons. Die klare Silhouette, das verchromte Gestell und die transparente Sitzschale geben ihm eine zurückhaltende Präsenz. Zusammengeklappt misst er nur wenige Zentimeter in der Tiefe und bleibt dabei erstaunlich komfortabel. Ein originaler Vintage-Fund mit sichtbarer Geschichte und hoher Alltagstauglichkeit.
