Product details
The Aluflex by Armin Wirth is a lightweight design from the post-war modernist period. Plywood on colorless anodized aluminum, precisely screwed together, reduced to the essentials. Awarded the "Die gute Form" (Good Design) prize in 1953, the design remained in production until the 1960s and 70s. The chair folds flat, can be stacked in rows, and requires hardly any space. The backrest measures only 3 mm, the weight around 3 kg – noticeable when lifted, but barely visible in the room. A sober, functional presence for the dining table, meetings, or temporary seating arrangements. From West Germany, 1960s.
