The modular candle holder by Werner Stoff for BMF Nagel exemplifies the futuristic design aspirations of the 1960s. Three chrome-plated elements combine on a heavy base to form a sculptural composition with six candle holders. Depending on the arrangement, the plug-in system appears graphically strict or organically dynamic. The high-gloss surface reflects light and its surroundings in a precise, almost architectural way. An original German design object with a light, age-related patina and the calm presence of a true Mid-Century classic.
