Design classic and rarity
The Louis Poulsen Orbiter Maxi combines classic Danish design with functional lighting technology. It is often associated with the famous Albertslund series , but this is not entirely clear. Designed in 1963 for a residential project in Albertslund near Copenhagen, the lamp is distinguished by its iconic design: A large reflector, three characteristic Saturn rings, and vertical struts ensure even and pleasantly diffused illumination.
With a diameter of approximately 50 cm, the Orbiter Maxi is ideal for large rooms or central light islands. The glare protection and sophisticated light distribution create an elegant play of shadows on the ceiling and walls—perfect for creating special atmospheres.
Made of white powder-coated aluminum , the light offers long-lasting quality. The three sockets are compatible with modern LED bulbs (base type G24d).
