Product details
This large vintage cassolette from Italy combines polychrome veined onyx with a gilded metal mount. The baluster-shaped silhouette sits on a compact base and appears like a small architectural fragment. Two leaf-like handles and a neoclassical relief give the object serenity and structure. The body is closed, with a screw in the neck. It was probably once part of a lamp base or intended as an ornamental object from the outset. Today, it is a heavy, tactile piece for a sideboard, console, or shelf.
