The EA 117 is one of the best-known office chairs by Charles and Ray Eames. Instead of a rigid seat shell, the designers stretched a leather panel between two aluminum side parts, a principle that was new in 1958 and still convinces today. This example in black leather shows the clear, restrained elegance of Mid-Century design and is suitable as an office chair for workplaces with high standards.
