A rare set of two bentwood chairs by Steen Eiler Rasmussen and Kai Lyngfeldt Larsen for Danbork. Designed in 1954 for Rungsted School, the combination of a slender metal frame and bent teak embodies both understated architecture and Danish craftsmanship. The seat and back are individually molded, the wood featuring a warm grain. The branded Danbork stamp on the underside confirms the original production. Timeless in profile, light in space. One chair has a small chip in the veneer on the back of the backrest. Sanded, oiled, and carefully cleaned.
