This Bamoun bronze mask from Cameroon is a decorative object with tangible craftsmanship. Made using the traditional lost-wax casting method, it features a friendly-looking, bearded face with sculptural details. The convex shape, the hollowed-out areas around the mouth and nose, and the stylized motifs such as lizards and a crown give it depth and rhythm. The surface comes alive with warm bronze, brown, and gold tones, complemented by natural oxidation marks in blue and white. Vintage, circa 1960s to 1980s.
