A clear side table from the Arnold Bauhaus Collection: Marcel Breuer's attitude towards functional design is immediately apparent here. The black wooden top rests on a nickel-plated frame, reduced, precise, serene. As a shelf next to the sofa or bed, it fits in naturally and offers space for books, a glass, or a vase. Manufactured by L. and C. Stendal, a manufacturer with a Bauhaus tradition, presumably in the 1980s to 1990s.
