This bowl from Karlsruher Majolika dates from the 1950s and bears the characteristic style of Fridegart Glatzle. The asymmetrical, softly modeled shape is covered by a craquelé glaze in gray and mint green, whose fine network structure gives the surface additional depth. Originally designed as an ashtray, it now serves equally well as a vide-poche or decorative object.
