Dieser Aschenbecher aus der Serie „Andromeda“ zeigt das freie, skulpturale Formenspiel, für das die Škrdlovice-Glashütte bekannt wurde. Jaroslav Beránek, geboren 1927, gehörte zu den prägenden Gestaltern des tschechoslowakischen Studioglases der Nachkriegszeit. Der schwere Glaskörper wandelt sein Erscheinungsbild je nach Lichteinfall zwischen klaren und tiefblau-violetten Tönen und lässt sich ebenso als kleine Schale wie als Aschenbecher nutzen.
