This pressed glass vase by Josef Inwald from the 1930s shows classic Art Deco design of Czech glassmaking art. The round shape made of frosted glass bears a fine relief of flying swallows, giving the vase a calm, sculptural presence. Josef Inwald was one of the leading glass manufacturers of Bohemia during the interwar period. The vase shows slight signs of use that honestly tell its eight decades of history.
