This set of two armchairs is attributed to Karl Hofmann and Felix Augenfeld and stylistically falls within the realm of Viennese Modernism. Clean lines, serene proportions, and an almost architectural stance define its silhouette. A nearly identical chair is documented in a historical interior photograph from the MAK, showing Muriel Gardina's living room, designed in 1927. Crafted from cherry wood and newly upholstered, the pair functions equally well in a classic setting or as a deliberate contrast in contemporary spaces.
