Product details
A small apothecary's mortar made of gilded bronze, as known from historical dispensaries. The shape is classically flared, with two round side handles and a calm, stable base. The body features a relief with a heraldic lion in a escutcheon, topped by a crown. The gilding shows fine craquelure and a natural patina, which gives the piece depth without being loud. With its slender pestle, it becomes an object between function and collector's item.
