Product details
An early version of Giancarlo Piretti's 'Alky' chair for Anonima Castelli, Italy, 1970s. The upholstered shell in red leather rests on the wooden legs typical of the first edition. The profile is soft and sculptural, the seat height low – an armchair for leaning, not posing. Patina and minor irregularities tell of use: dark spots in the leather and a few, barely perceptible cracks. Labeled. Available as a pair. A piece of Italian modernism that calms spaces while simultaneously defining them with precision. Broad and deep proportions; comfortable without excess.
