A black Bakelite table lamp by PGH Leipzig, a clear expression of the functionalist East German design of the 1960s. The use of a reflecting bulb directs the light inwards, giving the shade a warm, golden glow – atmospheric, glare-free, and functional. Bakelite lends depth and durability, its heat-resistant surface showcasing the robust qualities of this era. In very good original condition with manufacturer's mark. A compact lamp for a desk or sideboard, technically inspected and ready for use – with an E27 socket and matching bulb included. Made in East Germany, it combines function with a quiet presence. Subtle signs of wear preserve its history, while its industrial character remains timeless.
