The Leggera 646 by Gio Ponti demonstrates the extent to which reduction can be carried. Designed for Cassina in 1952, this chair is the direct precursor to the later Superleggera. The lines are clean, the proportions precise, and the weight astonishingly low. At the same time, the construction appears calm and resilient. The wooden frame and light-toned seat with a beige-white cover subtly complement a dining table or desk. Very good condition with slight signs of wear. Price per piece.
