Designed in 1935 and still manufactured by Artek today, it embodies Aalto's idea of warmth and everyday practicality: bent birch wood instead of metal, soft in line, clear in function. This piece dates from the 1940s and has a beautiful, aged patina. A chair that fits unpretentiously into a dining room, studio or hallway, while still showing character.
