Alvar Aalto's Chair 65 is one of the quiet icons of Scandinavian design. Designed in 1935 and still manufactured by Artek today, it embodies Aalto's idea of warmth and everyday practicality: bent birch wood instead of metal, soft in line, clear in function. This piece dates from the 1940s and has a beautiful, aged patina. A chair that fits unpretentiously into a dining room, studio or hallway, while still showing character.
