Doria Leuchten is a German manufacturer of decorative lighting that has ranked among the defining producers of cascade pendant lamps, sputnik chandeliers and decorative mid-century lamps since the mid-century era. Accounts of the Bavarian company's exact history vary; what is certain is its high level of activity from the 1960s to the early 1980s.

Characteristic of Doria are decorative crystal and glass cascade pendant lamps ("cascade lamps"), sputnik-style multi-arm chandeliers with brass-plated steel frames and coloured mouth-blown glass shades in smoke and amber tones. Typical are the multi-arm pendant constructions with asymmetrically staggered glass drops or spherical glass elements that break the light into decorative reflections. Doria also produced classic table and floor lamps in the period's mid-century formal language. Materials are brass-plated and gilded metal, lacquered steel, mouth-blown glass (often in the Murano style) and crystal or glass drop elements.

On the vintage market, Doria cascade pendants and sputnik lamps from the late 1960s and 70s are especially sought after, above all intact multi-arm compositions with all their original glass elements. When you examine a piece, look for the punched or stamped Doria logo on the ceiling mount, intact original wiring and complete, unbroken original glass elements without later replacement parts.
