Florence Knoll's desire for a versatile lounge chair was fulfilled by Eero Saarinen in 1948 with the Womb Chair. The organically shaped shell provides support, while the generous upholstery provides ample cushioning. In this vintage set with ottoman, the design reveals itself as a tranquil retreat – perfect for reading, lounging, or sitting sideways. The set is from Knoll International and is in good condition. The seat and back cushions have been expertly reupholstered by Halbneu. The blue fabric covering brings a sense of calm to the room. The proportions and ottoman allow for numerous seating positions without disrupting the chair's elegant lines.
