This foldable serving tray from the Mercury series 898 was designed in the 1960s by Carlo Alessi for Alessi and features three finely engraved steel plates in a sculptural folding construction. The polished surface and the clear geometric form represent the functional Italian modernism of that era. As part of our collection Trays and Bowls, this piece works equally well as a serving tray and as a decorative object.
