A chest of drawers from the Iwayado Tansu workshop: Ginga 5, a classic Kuruma-dansu on casters. Crafted from Keyaki with a deep Urushi lacquer, the vibrant grain subtly shines through. Hand-forged Nambu iron fittings with a peony motif add graphic accents. Compact in proportion, functional in everyday life. In the hallway, living room, or bedroom, it acts as a calming focal point. The history of Japanese craftsmanship is palpable; the patina speaks of its use. A piece that combines tradition and contemporary comfort.
