How do I recognise originals from both makers?

By labels and embossed marks under the seat or top, with Herman Miller often a medallion, with Vitra a date code. We photograph the markings for every piece.

Is an old Herman Miller piece worth more than Vitra?

Not as a rule. Collectors sometimes pay more for early American production, but well-kept Vitra pieces are just as sought after. Condition, year and specification decide.

Which models appear in this selection?

Above all the Eames family: Aluminium Group, Soft Pad, Plastic Chairs and occasionally the Lounge Chair. Plus designs by George Nelson when they come in.
