With the aim of freeing the "ugly, confusing, restless world" from the "slum of legs" on chairs and tables, the Finnish architect and designer Eero Saarinen designed the Pedestal Collection within five years. Consisting of chairs, armchairs, tables and side tables, these revolutionary designed pieces of furniture were characterized by a single, circular base and the appearance as if they were made from a single piece. In 1958, the collection was launched under license from Knoll International. These Tulip chairs are rotatable and, apart from the seat cushions, which can be reupholstered in the desired color/material for an additional charge, are in very good condition. The price is per piece.
