Italy, 1970s This rare Space Age style pendant lamp by Italian designer Giofredo Reggiani consists of three chrome arms that illuminate multiple points in the room. The arms can be rotated in different directions. Each arm ends in a chrome ball that has a socket inside. Any type of bulb can be used, a silver bulb with a chalice is recommended as it produces much more pleasant light. Italian designer Goffredo Reggiani founded his manufactory Reggiani Illuminazione in the early 1950s. Goffredo Reggiani is known for his futuristic-looking lamp designs in response to the Space Age that began in the early 1970s. Reggiani mainly used chrome for his Space Age designs as well as opal glass and teak. Today the Reggiani company is still in operation.
