\n \nA desk that looks like a stone triumphal arch, or a drawer tower in the shape of a column: the Swiss architect duo Trix and Robert Haussmann ironically presented the functionalist principles of modernism in the 1970s not only with their architecture, but also with their furniture in question. But the minimalist-looking Stollen chairs date back to the time before the joint office “Allgemeine Draftsanstalt” was founded, with which they developed their famous postmodern strategies: The chairs made of solid, lacquered wood and a seat made of braided cord, designed by Robert Haussmann in 1963, were the first Shown at the Expo Lausanne in 1964, they were later produced in various variations. These specimens are in good, used condition; occasional signs of wear can be seen on the surfaces of the wood and the seats. Price is per piece. \n \n
