With the aim of freeing the "ugly, confusing, restless world" from the "slum of legs" of chairs and tables, the Finnish architect and designer Eero Saarinen designed the Pedestal Collection within five years. Consisting of chairs, armchairs, tables and side tables, these revolutionary designed pieces of furniture were characterized by a single, circular base and the appearance as if they were made from a single piece. In 1958, the collection was launched under license from Knoll International. The top of this table is made of acrylic stone and can therefore be used both indoors and outdoors. The base is also suitable for outdoor use, as it is also provided with a weatherproof Rilsan coating. The coffee table on offer is in very good condition.
